Increasing our spares range as well as product quality control calls for, ideally, motorcycles to test the items on.
We have, in recent years, widened the spares offerings for featherbed models.
We had therefore been looking for a near-original 650SS or Atlas for a while.
Prices in England are currently higher for these than on the Continent where Commandos are far more popular.
With the exchange rate of Pound against Euro also favourable we bought the bike above from a German who had restored it about twenty years ago but never ridden it.
As soon as we don't need it on a day-to-day basis anymore it will be restored back to a useable and original state.
Until then it is our template bike to test featherbed items on.
