When our Karl sent me a picture of a golden Commando in our workshop, saying the customer wanted it made roadworthy and then see, I looked at it and realized this was no standard production Commando. It simply had too many little details that were only used on genuine Norton Production Racers. Asking the customer about its origin he told us he bought it as an ex-Potter race bike from Gus Kuhn in February 1972, raced it for a while, and then planned to convert it to a normal road bike but family and business commitments never let him get that project finished.
