Mk3 in Norton Silver
Our 850Mk3 was bought as a template bike to check parts that are either special to Mk3s., or to see if parts are suitable to be fitted to Mk3s.
It has now been fully rebuilt. Simon did the roadtest and thinks it is a lovely bike.

We have the original Mk3 Despatch Books.
We were fortunate to find a Mk3 in near-original condition. Checking it in our despatch books showed it was a UK ("Hiome Market") Interstate.
One can speculate if "Show F/Stand" means it was used as an exhibit at a motorcycle show. If it was, it was later sold off.
Most bikes in the Mk3 Despatch records went to the "Liquidator" at first.
Most Norton owners are not aware Norton Villiers was in liquidation from 1975-onwards and that assets were sold off since 1975.
Probably the biggest asset was the spare parts operation which was re-established as Andover Norton!
The bike now resides in our showroom, retrofitted with a few small items that were not original when we first bought it.
You are welcome to inspect it there.
